About me
Hi there! I’m Georgios (George), 4th year medical student at the University of Birmingham and I’m the sitting vice president for the surgical society and the president of the Greek society.
I champion kind, compassionate and effective leadership in these organisations and have delivered multiple hours of teaching to both current and prospective medical students. I am conducting interview stations this year for the medical school admissions team and have worked for the university on multiple different roles including interview prep for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I offer a wealth of experience in most medical school related areas.
I specialise in tackling the difficult topics of A level Biology and Chemistry for students who want to achieve high scores in their exams and beyond. I have probably taught 350 students so far in small group and 1 on 1 teaching sessions. I’ve never had a student leave my lesson without having achieved the learning outcomes. I like using all teaching methods appropriate for the task at hand, for example I might use video graphics for explaining the electron transport chain.
Hobbies: I was a skiing champion in my early days, have competed all over Europe, my current hobbies include computer programming, poetry and learning about airplanes.
